University Council

Purpose

The purpose of the University Council and its internal and related components is to assist the president of the university in formulating and implementing university policy in a manner that attempts to ensure that Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University always strives effectively toward its goals, which are:

To provide an environment conducive to the pursuit of learning, teaching, scholarship, research, and service.
To anticipate and meet the educational needs of society in general and the commonwealth and nation in particular.

All meetings will be held in the Multipurpose Library (Room 104) of the Creativity and District Living-Learning Building and on Zoom, beginning at 3:30 pm unless otherwise noted.
